“So we are releasing our first album and it's time to do what's the least interesting part about it: Try to convince you its any good and to make people buy it. Aaalllrrriiggghhhhttttt...... RED TAPE PARADE is a band from bavaria. Bavaria is a very conservative part in the south of germany. Other germans like to make fun of us.We recorded our demo in august 07 and many people downloaded it for free.
Our debut album "ballads of the flexible bullet" contains 16 songs. Those songs - hold on to your seat - are the best we ever wrote. Somebody thats more famous than us did guest vocals. We started RED TAPE PARADE because we thought modern punk is lacking passion, honesty and melody. Punk and hardcore nowadays is also way too pretty. The members of RED TAPE PARADE on the other hand are a bunch of overweight, ugly, old losers. But we are losing with dignity. See all those sexist, racist, homophobic, religious hardcore bands? Those guys are the bad losers. We are the good ones. Or: Looking for a band all your friends will think is totally uncool? Choose us!
We are influenced by bands like MINOR THREAT, DAG NASTY, GOOD RIDDANCE, LIFETIME, LAGWAGON or 7 SECONDS, only to pick a few. What it comes down to: We try to play music we would enjoy listening to ourselves, which is a mixture of melodic punkrock, old school hardcore and some pop-punk influences combined with meaningful lyrics ranging from very personal to political topics.
